July 20, Les Bassacs

Finally, I am at Les Bassacs!
This is like I am in my dream now.  I met David and people from England and Finland at Marseiile Provenve Airport. It took an hour to get Les Bassacs by David's van.

It is a very special place. Of course very beautiful. I am in a fairy tale.

July 20 From Marseille Airport

I am at Marseille airport waiting for David and British people from London, then David took us to Les Bassacs where David and his partner run Art in Provence.

My first lunch at Provence, Pacific Ocean Salad at Starbucks in the airport.
It was very good!

July 16. Tricia's Birthday Party at Cortesia

I have never missed Tricia's birthday this past years because I always come back to Eugene the first Thursday.

The garden looked very beautiful.

I would like to paint of  Cortesia garden when I come back from France.

July 14 & 15 Anual Sandgren Oregon Coast Paint-Out event

The first day of the event take place at Seal Rock State park.
Everyone looked happy to see each other on the coast.
It was great to see Erik and Kathryn.

I wanted to paint the Seal Rock in different view this year.
I fund a gull and her nest top of the big rock. They looked a part of the sky.

I like to watch how Erick paints.
He talks, laughs, makes lots of jokes and thinks while he is painting.
I learned many things from him.
He talked to me about his experiences in France too.

July 14 & 15, Oregon Coast Paint-out

いIt was so nice to comeback to Eugene, see my friends and do my annual event.
My artist friend Cathy and I took a two days painting trip to Oregon coast.
We left Eugene on Sunday morning, and we painted at Yaquina Head. The weather was beautiful, but it was a super windy day. When I opened Cathy's car door in the parking, I almost flew out with the car door.  We went down to the beach. The air wasn't not so bad. We painted an hour.

Then we decided to go to a motel for check in and have dinner, and come back to Yoquina Head for sunset.
It was still windy when we came back, so we painted from inside of Cathy's car.

It was beautiful sunset, and looked the wind cleaned everything in the sky except the sun.

From Los Angels Airport

I had a good time with my friend Lydia  Bautista and her family.
I came from Japan on Forth of July, and stayed with Lydia for four days.
I have known Bautistas over 30 years. We don't see each other often, but they are my precious friends, especially Lydia who I met when we were in our middle twenties. I really like her sprits.

Those photos are four days of my stay in LA.
GO VEGGIE is a Vegan restaurant running by Lydia and her family.
I love their food. It's healthy and not too salty.
Lydia put lots of her good energy into her cooking.

On Friday evening Lydia's sister Cecilia and Kevin took Lydia and I to beaches near Santa Monica.
I enjoyed looking at beautiful Californian Beach houses, then we had delicious sea food dinner at a restaurant.  This photo is from the window in the restaurant.

Lydia wanted to show me the space shuttle Endeavour at California Science Center.

I was impressed when I saw the real space shuttle.

Butterfly Pavilion was very peaceful.

Lydia's sister Rosana invited us for dinner. They live in Orange County, 45 minutes drive from Lydia' s house. The view from Rosana's house was beautiful.
.

Rosana made me welcome fresh juice for me.

Now I am getting ready for my summer in Eugene, Oregon. (^o^)/
